A Writerly Chat: Villains! Muahaha ;)

Welcome back, everyone! I hope that you’re doing well! Sorry for the slightly late post.

It’s time for A Writerly Chat! Last time, Sister and I discussed her protagonist, Ronan. Today we’ll be discussing villains and somewhat villains. As usual, her replies will be in bold and mine in italics. Sister?

Hey.

So, who is the main villain–or villains–of your story?

Um, there are kind of three. One of them is the, you know, main bad guy who’s just your normal bad guy. But then the other two are inside agents, I guess you could call it, and one of them is not as crucial to the story line as the other. *Claps hands with finality* So, yeah.

Can you introduce us to these villains, or is it a secret?

Um…

You don’t have to start every statement with um.

I’m sorry! It’s just how I talk.

Okay then. I’m sorry I interrupted. Please continue.

Yes, servant. Pay me my rightful dues.

Whatever. *Doesn’t say anything because I’m a good child*

Okay, so my main bad guy, who is not one of the inside persons, is named Tilor (pronounced TIL-er). So, his name is Tilor and he is a bad guy *laughs*. He kind of wants to bring everybody under one whole. But that’s actually not what he wants, it’s just what he tells people he wants so they’re not like, ‘hey, you’re evil.’ But what he really wants…I guess you could call it bringing everyone under one whole, but it’s more like getting rid of everybody who’s not part of the whole. So, he found out about Ronan’s parents who were quietly but surely and effectively fighting against him, so he kind of…*deciding face* It’s hard to explain. He got Ronan…drunk? But not really? Yeah, look, I know, yeah. Just be satisfied with that. Ronan, when this happened, was young and stupid, so please don’t hold anything against him

*Me busting in because that paragraph is kind of long and I also have a legitimate comment* She has a crush on Ronan just so you know. *Sister makes disapproving noises in the background*

Look, I do not. So, pretty much…it’s not Ronan’s fault! Okay, it is his fault, but he was suffering from peer pressure, so come on! *Tries to get me to erase that as she sees the look on my face* Anywho, so however it happened, Ronan’s parents got found out by Tilor, and I’m sure you know what happens. So now, Tilor is concerned that Ronan will still, obviously, be fighting for what his parents were fighting for, and Tilor is also concerned because Ronan’s parents were very…charismatic, I think you might call it? Okay, that sounds like I don’t speak English, but I do speak English! I just didn’t know the right word! So, Ronan’s parents were very charismatic and could get a lot of people on their side. So Tilor was concerned that Ronan had inherited that–which he didn’t–and now is trying to make him shut up. He’s also kind of hunting him down by the way. I mean, well…blah!

Tilor! We searched on Pinterest for what seemed like hours to find him

Okay, who are the inside men you mentioned?

It’s a brother and sister duo, as usual, and their names are Aorid (AY-o-rid), who is the guy, and Elana (el-AN-a), who is the girl. *Dramatic pause* I don’t like Elana that much, but Aorid is funny…I mean, he was never as drastically bad as his sister, but he can be funny when he’s pretending to be a good guy. Also he can be annoying when he’s pretending to be a goody guy.

That all ya got?

Yes, ma’am.

Elana. Imagine her blue eyes.
Also, insert picture of a blond-haired, young looking man named Aorid that I could not find anywhere on the internet even though I looked and looked and looked and looked…

Anything else you’d like to add after sending me down a character art rabbit hole?

What’s our next blog post gonna be?

Get out.

But…I want to do a blog post about Hadriel! Search for more character art!

*Shuts interdimensional door to her mind, kicking Sister out* Thanks for reading A Writerly Chat! Come back next week for a non-fanfiction blog post, because I have something percolating in my mind that I just had to share with you. See you next week! Be blessed!
